The Westworld actress told Congress the Me Too and Time's Up movements have spurred "waves of memories" of her own assaults. The year-old then likened two instances of sexual assault and violence to "a mental scar that I feel every day. In this moment, while I was tied up and being beaten, and being told unspeakable things, I truly felt like I could die, not just because my abuser said to me, 'I could kill you right now,' but because in that moment I felt like I left my body, and I was too afraid to run. Wood says she was later raped in a locked storage closet at a bar by another assailant after the establishment closed.

The star, 30, also told Congress she was raped by a second man on the floor of a closet in an emotional five-minute speech to DC law-makers. She told the Capitol Hill crime panel: She detailed the extent of the horrific abuse and "brainwashing", adding she was left with PTSD, addiction and depression. She added:
